Pouco depois dos indicados ao Primetime Emmy Awards terem sido revelados, a Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas revelou os nomeados à 53ª edição do Daytime Emmy Awards.
‘Beyond the Gates’, a primeira nova novela de uma grande rede de TV aberta em décadas, entrou oficialmente na disputa do Emmy com 15 indicações (o documentário ‘Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood’ também recebeu uma indicação).
Apesar do aumento da concorrência, ‘The Young and the Restless’ garantiu o posto de novela com o maior número de indicações pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, somando 18 nomeações.
“Temos orgulho de homenagear o talento extraordinário e as equipes criativas cujo trabalho continua a definir e elevar a programação diurna da televisão”, disse Adam Sharp, presidente e CEO da NATAS, em um comunicado. “À medida que o cenário da programação diurna evolui e novas formas de narrativa surgem, mantemos nosso compromisso de reconhecer a inovação que ocorre em toda a indústria”.
Os vencedores serão revelados no dia 30 de outubro.
